Project 365

Posted by Andi on June 25, 2010

I tried Project 365 a few years ago, and did pretty well for a couple of months. Then I had to write my dissertation and fell behind. I meant to start again before now, but, well, I didn’t. Until now.

I was going to post the pictures here, but then decided to have a separate place for those photos. You can find them here.

Finished Object: Tim’s Green (!) Mock Cable Socks

Posted by Andi on June 21, 2010

Mock Cable Socks
Pattern: Mock Cable Socks by Wendy D. Johnson
Yarn: South West Trading Company TOFUtsies in 784 Footlights
Needles: US 1 and US 0 DPNs
Date started: 3/17/10
Date completed: 6/12/10

Tim is thin, so the sock ended up a little big. But he seems to like them, and has worn them in public already!

Finished Object: Citron

Posted by Andi on June 20, 2010

Pattern: Citron by Hillary Smith Callis
Yarn: Misti Alpaca Hand Paint Sock Yarn in the 09 Seattle Colorway, 1 skein
Needles: US 6
Date started: 5/26/10
Date completed: 6/7/10

I had to make an adjustment because I was running out of yarn. Instead of making the full final ruffle, I did the increase and then bound off, so the ruffle was really small. I think it is cute that way, though.

This was such an easy project that I can see myself making a bunch of these as gifts. It’s such an easy knit.
