An error in judgment works in my favor

Doublke knit piano scarf

When I first completed my double knit piano scarf I was happy with it, or at least I was happy with how it looked. I realized that perhaps using worsted weight yarn was a mistake. The scarf was too wide, and being double knit, it was really thick. I thought it would be too big and heavy to really use it. After all of that work I was a bit disappointed that I wouldn’t get to wear it that much.

Until this morning. The temperature was still below zero when I left for work. I decided today would be a good day to wear the double knit piano scarf. And you know what? It was awesome. It was thick enough to warm my neck AND cover my mouth and nose. My eyeballs hurt, but my neck and the rest of my face was warm. Yay for handknits!
