Yarn Pr0n – Lang Cocoon

Lang Cocoon

This is the yarn I hope to use to make the Aleita Shell. It’s really soft and has a nice sheen. I think it will be very pretty.

WIP: Froot Loop Sock

Posted by Andi on June 20, 2008

Froot Loop sock the first

Pattern: Froot Loop Socks by Kristi Geraci
Yarn: Schachenmayr nomotta Regia Line Steps Color
Needles: US 1 DPN

I finished the first sock a week or two ago, and I’m only just now getting around to posting about it. It feels a bit small, but I think it might be because the first pair of socks I made myself are a tad bit big. I’ll see how they feel after blocking. But I like how it looks, and I look forward to finishing the second one.

I’m still here

Posted by Andi on June 14, 2008

I haven’t updated in a long time. I have a couple of posts floating in my head, but I just haven’t had the time or energy to do anything about them. Here is a quick update:

–I finished the first Froot Loop sock and started the second. Photos to come soon.
–I’m about to start a clapotis. Photos to come soon.
–Lys is stalled again
–I bought some yarn
–I missed WWKIP day today because I had to be in the suburbs.
–I haven’t been to knitting group in a while. I won’t go next week either, but I plan to be there the week after.

FO: Hockey skates baby booties

Posted by Andi on June 2, 2008

Hockey skates baby booties

Pattern: Hockey skates baby booties by sunflowerfairy
Needles: US 6
Yarn: Lion Brand Wool Ease in Black
Cascade 220 in White
Random gray acrylic in my stash

I made these for my friend’s baby as part of a baby shower gift along with a Blackhawks onesie. I waited until today to post this on the off chance that my friend would see the blog before yesterday’s baby shower. I am especially proud that this was a true stash busting project. The black yarn was left over from Poinsettia. The white yarn was left over from the Double Knit Piano Scarf. I’m not sure what I used to gray for, but it was some acrylic yarn I bought when I first started knitting. I think I made a PDA cozy with part of it. I don’t think I used it for anything else, but I think too much of the skein was gone to say that that PDA cozy was the only thing made with it.
