Knitting on public transportation

Posted by Andi on August 2, 2007

Since I won’t be able to wear Coachella to Lollapalooza (music fans would find this sentence amusing) I am hoping to finish the Montego Bay scarf to wear at least by Sunday evening.  I won’t have much time to knit over the weekend since I will be at the festival, so I decided to take my knitting on the train with me to work today.

It’s been a long time since I have knit on public transportation, as I use that time to catch up on reading.  It’s always interesting to see people’s reactions to it.  The woman who sat down next to me kept her eyes on my hands through most of the trip.  The reactions of other people were interesting.  I would see someone watching, but then when I looked up they would look away, as if they didn’t want me to know they were watching.  I wonder if this is a big city thing, and I’ve actually posted about this on my other blog.

Anyway, I don’t anticipate being able to blog over the weekend. I am hoping to maybe have a pic of my progress on the Montego Bay scarf tonight, but I’m not sure if that will be possible. Have a nice weekend!

  1. How funny people can be — it’s like they’re fascinated but yet don’t want to be caught admiring what you’re doing! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend:)
