Hockey skates baby booties

Pattern: Hockey skates baby booties by sunflowerfairy
Needles: US 6
Yarn: Lion Brand Wool Ease in Black
Cascade 220 in White
Random gray acrylic in my stash

I made these for my friend’s baby as part of a baby shower gift along with a Blackhawks onesie. I waited until today to post this on the off chance that my friend would see the blog before yesterday’s baby shower. I am especially proud that this was a true stash busting project. The black yarn was left over from Poinsettia. The white yarn was left over from the Double Knit Piano Scarf. I’m not sure what I used to gray for, but it was some acrylic yarn I bought when I first started knitting. I think I made a PDA cozy with part of it. I don’t think I used it for anything else, but I think too much of the skein was gone to say that that PDA cozy was the only thing made with it.

OMG these are the dang cutest things ever! What a genius idea for a baby gift. Am bookmarking your page to remember for my own son’s kids (which hopefully won’t be for a really long time since he’s only 13!)
